Patient Online Access

NHS England require practices to promote and offer the facility to enable patients online access to appointments, prescriptions and their medical records.

They have recently advised that, if a patients wants access to their record they can have access via the patient online access.  But prior to this the GP will authorise what the patient is eligible to see from their records.  i.e, the GP will decide whether you can see your blood results, BP, height and weight, lifestyle changes, etc. By seeing your records online, this may help to manage your medical conditions.  This also means that you can access yours records anywhere at anytime.

Once you have signed the form and provided proof of ID you will be given your log in details, therefore you will need to think of a unique password. This will ensure that only you will have access to your records - unless you decide to share your details with a member of your family or carer. Soon as you long on to the online access, you will only have access to your repeat medications and you can book appointments.

IT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP YOUR LOG DETAILS AND PASSWORD SAFE AND SECURE.  IF YOU KNOW OR SUSPECT THAT YOUR RECORD HAS BEEN ACCESSED BY SOMEONE THAT YOU HAVE NOT AGREED SHOULD SEE IT, THEN YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY.

We aim to offer patients online access to some aspects of their medical records.
